Best time to visit
June–October is dry season and best for safari. January–February sees the calving season in the Serengeti. Kilimanjaro climbing is best January–March and June–October.

• Visas on arrival are available for most nationalities. Carry USD in bills dated 2009 or newer. Pack layers for safari mornings and a yellow-fever certificate if arriving from an at-risk country. • Dawn and dusk are when wildlife is most active and the light is best — early starts pay off.

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before your travel date for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours of departure are non-refundable. If the operator cancels for safety reasons, you'll get a full refund or an alternative date.
