Local insider tips
• Visas on arrival are available for most nationalities. Carry USD in bills dated 2009 or newer. Pack layers for safari mornings and a yellow-fever certificate if arriving from an at-risk country. • Hydrate well the day before, not just on the day. A light, high-energy snack keeps you going between stops.
